That was our little spot of happiness during the UAE national day weekend. This is on of the UAE best kept secret! So keep it between us... UAQ Marine Club is a fantastic easy going family friendly little resort to chill out away from busy and flamboyant Dubai. UAQ Marine Club is about 1h from Dubai. A secluded little spot, UAQ Marine Club works closely with the Ministry of Environment and Water to protect the beautiful mangrove islands, for which we now reap the benefits of the breathtaking nature scene. If you lucky you might wake up to the picturesque still waters where flamingos, herons and other local shore birds can be seen dotted along the water’s edge.

Certified Outdoor Adventure Center. There is activities for all ages and abilities. Whether you want a quiet weekend away with nothing but the sound of waves and a good book or whether you looking for an adrenaline fuelled adventure. 

Activities:
The Umm Al Quwain Marine Club has created the thrill of an outdoor experience and challenge through an impressive high ropes course, from climbing wall to zip line or the leap of faith tower.

Water sport activities include, Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand-Up Paddling, Banana Boat or Doughnut rides, Knee boarding, Windsurfing...

There is a large playground next to the pool for kiddos to explore.

We also got to try out archery and a lovely boat ride just before sunset to see turtles and flamingos around the mangroves. What not to like...

Accommodation:
Well appointed one bedroom Barasti Chalets features a balcony/ terrace, queen size bed and one bunk bed . The room can accommodate two adults and two children (under the age of 12) with existing bedding. Its spacious enough and clean.

Food:
Anglers’ restaurant is situated at the poolside. It offers salads, pizza, pasta and all the classics. Perfect for lunch and early kids diner, it's also where breakfast is served every morning.
For diner, order your BBQ, they will set it up for you by your terrace or the Barasti Area on the beach.
