Coffee, yes please
I have been talking hamburgers now I need to tell you about coffee! Yep, here's three new coffee experiences that I have been wanting to share with you...
The Majlis, Dubai Mall
This new lobby lounge coffee shop located at the entrance of Dubai Mall Souq, a step away from Galeries Lafayette, offers unique camel milk products. I am loving their cappuccino and Luella was not sure which camel flavored milk to try, strawberry or chocolate! Also available finger food, pastries and camel milk ice cream. Don't forget to try the chocolate range from Al Nasma, the first and finest camel milk chocolate.
I believe this concept is a great way to combined with pride, local production and healthy option. Camel milk is lower in fat and higher in Vitamin C than cow's milk, according to research. It is also a great alternative for lactose intolerant consumers. Camel milk has been named "white gold of the desert"! So how does it taste? Well, it taste GOOD! ;) Go have a try.
The Majlis Dubai is an exotic arabian experience in a modern atmosphere. Thumbs up!
The Archive, Safa Park
This is one my new favorite spot, a little gem to share without selfishness. Despite being located on the beautiful lawn of Safa Park, surrounded by old palm trees, you kind of forget you are in Dubai. The old Arabic building from the 70's has been redesign by Japanese architect to give it a sleek and modern feel. The large selection of art, calligraphy and design books from the region add to the contemporary and inviting concept. Children are not forgotten with a large selection of children books (mainly Arabic though).
The coffee shop offers a good selection of breakfast and light bites. Coffee was good and strong like we need in the morning after the school run. The archive is perfect for a quick nibble after a morning run, a lazy Friday brunch in the sun, working on your blog (good internet connection) or afternoon tea with your girlfriend while kids are running around the lawn or speeding with scooter.
The archive is also a community organization, a way for people to be active in the "park life". Check it out for more info on the offered activities, Yoga classes on the grass, morning football on Saturday, book bidding classes... Very excited about this new initiative brought to us by the people behind The Fridge, a treat!
Starbucks Drive Through, Jumeirah Beach Rd
Another new option on our Dubai map is the Starbucks villa on beach road, a coffee shop with the first drive through coffee experience to open in Dubai. Very convenient, order and pick up in a few minutes! The coffee shop is actually a villa with a lovely terrace, welcoming interior and a small era for children to draw and play.
